After Breast Aesthetics
After Breast Augmentation Surgery
It is normal for swelling and tenderness in the breasts to persist for up to about two weeks after breast augmentation surgery. Scars from incisions made under the breast, around the nipple, or in the armpit area will gradually fade over time. During the recovery period, surgeons may recommend the use of special bandages to support the breasts. They may also prescribe pain relievers or antibiotics to prevent infection. During the recovery period following breast enlargement surgery, it is important to follow the surgeon’s instructions. If the patient works in a job that does not require physical exertion, they may return to work within one to two weeks. In case of redness, warmth, or fever in the area, a surgeon should be consulted. Since breast augmentation changes the size and shape of the breasts, expectations should remain realistic. Once full recovery is achieved, patients will enjoy fuller breasts that enhance confidence.
After Breast Reduction Surgery
After breast reduction surgeries, in which one or both breasts are reduced in size, it is advised not to return to work or school for at least one week. While the recovery period may vary from person to person, generally two weeks of rest are recommended. Patients should follow all post-operative instructions for breast reduction surgery provided by their surgeons. Strenuous physical activity should be avoided for one month. It is normal to feel fatigued and to experience pain in the chest area following breast reduction surgery. Once fully recovered, women typically experience an increase in self-confidence and relief from the discomfort associated with overly large breasts.
After Breast Lift Surgery
Swelling and bruising may occur in the breasts following a breast lift surgery, which can be performed alone or in conjunction with breast augmentation or breast reduction procedures. Although swelling generally subsides within two weeks, redness, numbness around the nipples, areola, and breasts may continue for about six weeks. After breast lift surgery, lifting heavy objects should be avoided and intense physical activities should not be resumed until approved by the surgeon. It may take a few months for the breasts to settle into their final shape; surgical scars will gradually fade and become less noticeable over time.
After Asymmetric Breast Surgery
After asymmetric breast correction surgery, which is performed to correct differences in shape, size, or position between the breasts, swelling typically subsides within about a week. Aesthetic stitches leave only fine lines, which fade gradually over time. During the recovery period after asymmetric breast surgery, it is important to follow the surgeon’s instructions, and any signs of unexpected inflammation or fever should be promptly reported to the medical team.
