Prof. Dr. Yiğit Özer Tiftikcioğlu graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1999 and completed his specialization in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Ankara Training and Research Hospital in 2005. He began his career as a specialist at SB Bolu Köroğlu State Hospital the same year. In June 2006, he joined Ege University Faculty of Medicine as an assistant professor in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery. He became an associate professor in 2011 after passing the associate professorship exam. In addition to plastic surgery, he earned the titles of Hand Surgery Specialist in 2011 and Oral, Maxillofacial, and Facial Surgery Specialist in 2012. He was appointed Professor at Ege University in February 2017, received the title of senior professor in 2020, and currently continues his academic and clinical work at Ege University’s Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery. In addition to his role at Ege University, he also provides his services through his own private clinic. He is a member of several professional associations, including the Aegean Society of Aesthetic Surgery, the Reconstructive Microsurgery Society, the Aesthetic Surgery Society, the Cleft Lip and Palate Society, and the Turkish Society of Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery. He is also a member of the İzmir Medical Chamber. He speaks English at C2 level and German at B1 level, and is married with two children.
