Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty, commonly known as a nose job, is a surgical procedure designed to reshape the nose to achieve a more aesthetic appearance in harmony with the face, while also correcting functional issues such as breathing difficulties. Since the nose is located at the center of the face, even the slightest change can significantly enhance a person's overall expression and self-confidence.
This process is not just about reducing or lifting the nose; it is the art of structuring a natural-looking nose that best suits the individual's facial features, gender, and expectations.
Who Is It Suitable For?
Rhinoplasty is an ideal solution for individuals with congenital deformities, those who have experienced deformation due to trauma, or anyone simply unhappy with the appearance of their nose. In addition to aesthetic concerns—such as a dorsal hump, a drooping nasal tip, wide nostrils, or asymmetry—functional problems that make breathing difficult, like a deviated septum, can also be corrected during the same operation.
Surgical Techniques and the Piezo Method
Operations are performed using Open or Closed techniques, depending on the patient's specific needs. In our clinic, we frequently utilize Piezo Surgery (Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty) technology. Instead of breaking the bones, this method uses ultrasonic sound waves to shape them with high precision. This advanced technique minimizes damage to soft tissues, results in less post-operative bruising and swelling, and significantly accelerates the healing process.
The Recovery Process
Contrary to common fears, the post-operative period is not painful. Instead of classic cloth tampons, special silicone tubes are used that allow for breathing. Our patients generally experience the following timeline:
- 1st Week: Splints and silicone tubes are removed, and patients can usually return to their social lives.
- 3-6 Months: The nose largely takes on its main shape.
- 6-12 Months: The nose achieves its final form, and the healing process is complete.
Rhinoplasty is a permanent investment that improves both your health and your reflection in the mirror, enhancing your quality of life. You can explore our related sub-headings for more detailed information about the process.
